makes sence. also i shift right before traps and i get 116-117mph with my tt rear with probably enough rpm to get me through the traps. do you think if i didnt shift my mph would improve? that might be an idea:mile mark. :My 1/8 mile times on a 1/8 mile track usually show 92-94 MPH trap speed. In this situation I run through the traps in 3rd gear at 6K+ rpm. Ideally I shift at 5500 for the best time, but shifting just before the 1/8 mile mark hurts my 1/8 mile time/speed. I am in a similar dilemma in the 1/4, I deally I should shift to 5th, but I am too close to the traps. I shifted to 5th one time and my trap speed was 112ish. :I am putting a TT rear end in and I will see what happens to the time/speed.
